FRAMED SCARCE 1919 WINCHESTER CALENDAR. Unusual Winchester calendar, 38-1/2" x 19-1/2" exposed image. With an unusual patriotic-themed image covering top two thirds. Image is of a farmer in field with horses & plow, with his hat respectfully in hand looking up at an image of clouds in sky representing flag. Signed in lower right corner "Richard Amick 1917" & printed in left lower corner, "By courtesy of northwestern paper union". Just below image is hand stamped, "F. A. BERGER CO.". Bottom third of image has a 4-1/2" band with bright red "WINCHESTER" in their stylized lettering with a spread-winged eagle in center surmounting a myriad of WWI soldiers with inscription "WORLD STANDARD GUNS AND AMMUNITION". Bottom 9-1/2" are calendar tear sheets with February exposed & appears rest of months are present. February sheet has line drawings of the Model 97 & Model 12 shotguns. It has watercolor-type artwork of a hunter holding a Model 12 on left edge aiming towards two rabbits on right edge.
