1) SWORD. This Chinese copy of a Japanese katana measures 44 1/2" overall with a 28" plain blade. The blade has visible folding lines but no discernable temper line. Plated iron guard and ferrule with a brass pommel. Gray wrap over gray fish skin. Scabbard is black enameled wood with the top 2 mounts made of iron and the bottom 2 of brass. CONDITION: overall light wear but the grip and wrap show heavier wear. 2) SWORD. European mounted officer's saber measuring 38 1/2" overall with a 33" blade. The blade has an etched mark that appears to read "Manufacture d'Equipments Militaires Auguste Hansen 49 Ruedes Fabriques Bruxelles". Gilded brass hilt with wire wrapped shark skin grip. No scabbard, CONDITION: sword shows light to moderate overall wear. 3) BAYONET. An example of an Argentine M1891 bayonet measuring 20 1/2" overall. Single fuller blade marked near the hilt. Iron guard and pommel with alloy grips. No scabbard. CONDITION: Iron parts are heavily oxidized and the grips show wear. (02-24493-5/BF). $300-450.
