Binding a little worn, but sound; one leaf detached; near fine. A handsome production, the most ambitious of the Schäfer works, comprising a detailed illustrated guide to the gold and silver coins of the world struck from the treaty of Westphalia (1648), to the close of the eighteenth century. The final plate depicts eighteenth century United States gold and silver coins.
