This very attractive pattern has dark cobalt colors in a flow blue
style.
Flaxman, by Sampson Hancock, is a Classical Revival/ Robert
Adam type pattern of shields and urns joined by swags. Half the
shields have cameo portraits.
<p>This listing is for two plates: 9-1/4 inches and 7 inches.
<p>Very Good overall condition. No chips, cracks, dings or
repairs. However, there is one small chip under the rim of the
small plate. There is some crazing and light knife marks.
<p>Circa early 20th C. Pattern registered
1907, backstamp in use 1891-1935.<p>Made by S Hancock &
Sons.
