REVOLVER WITH CORRECT ERA BOX. Cal. 22 S, L, LR. S# D232. Mfg. 1958 within S# range A001 to F482 (approx 12,000 mfg.). The 4" barrel is marked "STURM, RUGER & CO / SOUTHPORT, CONN." having Ruger eagle logo. Tall serrated blade front sight with fluted sides; top strap has sighting groove. Steel ejector rod housing with flat faced ejector rod head; concave face ejector rod button was seen on guns S# range A002 to M393. Roll engraved 6 shot cyl. with scene showing a bear & cougar with "RUGER / BEARCAT". Black anodized alloy frame. Brass colored anodized triggerguard. Two piece plastic impregnated grips. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: correct period black & red box with number "e578" written on label end. Box in good condition showing fraying & wear commensurate with age. Box contains portion of warranty card & Ruger "Bearcat" revolver instructions & parts list. CONDITION: very good barrel blue with series of deep scratches on bottom & couple of spots of pinprick patina. Good plus ejector rod housing blue with streaks of finish loss. Very good black finish on frame with areas of edge wear along with pinprick finish loss & 1 sm. dent on butt. Very good cyl. finish with edge wear. Loading gate has plum tone with wear. Polished hammer sides shows cleaned patina. Very good grips with series of light scratches on right panel. Good plus triggerguard with light patina. Very good bore with strong rifling. (25-1568/MD).
