Based upon Craig Thomas' 1977 novel, Firefox stars Clint Eastwood (also the director) as veteran US fighter pilot Mitchell Grant, tasked with stealing a high-tech plane known as Firefox from the Soviet Union. This lot features two rare pieces produced to promote the film. The concept artwork composition was created by American artist Charles DeMar. It comprises a photomechanical print of the background sky and the jet fighter with a photograph of Eastwood wearing a Russian helmet superimposed on top and airbrush paint detailing. The artwork is presented on photographic card, which is affixed to artboard. Completing the lot is a German concept poster showing the imagery of Eastwood wearing the helmet. The concept artwork is flat and mounted on board with some minor handling wear and tape remnants. The concept poster is rolled in near mint condition.

This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, September 12th. The auction will begin at 9:30am PST and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace. Note other lots in the auction may close on September 13th.
