FINELY WORKED SAMPLER. Scottish by "Eliza Hendrson, Hawick" (sic) and dated "June 28, 1806". Silk on linen including a large brick house with two chimneys. Trees and rabbits on either side. Raised chenille lawn and a stone wall in front. Vine border with a rose and floral garland across the top. The verse is titled "On Virtue". Edge wear and holes in the chenille. Frame is 19 1/2" x 15".
