<B>FINELY-COLORED MAMMOTH TUSK TIP</B></I><BR> <I>Mammuthus primigenius<BR>Pleistocene<BR>Siberia, Russia</B></I><BR>This beautiful example of the tip of the long curved mammoth tusk displays next to no restoration and a wonderful array of blue patterning, caused by vivianite, a hydrated iron phosphate. Displayed on a custom display stand, this is a striking specimen of manageable size, and would be perfect for display on a mantelpiece, with good detail of the internal structure at the severed and polished end.
