The 25 3/4" monobloc bbls. are fitted w/ full length matted rib holding claw scope bases, pop up U-notch rear & silver bead front sights. Unmatted portion of rib is engraved "FRANZ SODIA, FERLACH". Bottoms of bbls. are stamped with 1980 Ferlach proofs for 16 Ga., 2 3/4" and 7x65R cartridge. Coin finished notchback blitz action with rifle selector on top tang also features Greener type side safety, crossbolt third fastener, bushed strikers and double triggers (front set). Action is engraved with near full coverage very finely cut medium size shaded scroll. Maker's name and address are on trigger plate in oval logo. Blued trigger guard with scroll on bow has finger spur and serial number on tang. Well streaked and lightly figured European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 15 5/8" over thin red rifle pad. Well cut point pattern checkering is at grip. Pointed grip cap is of rosewood and sling loop is on toeline. A relief carved band of shaded scroll which matches in style the scroll on action, is around butt, 1/2" from pad. Matching splinter forend has Deeley release. Drilling is mounted with Zeiss Diavari-Z 1.5-6X 30mm rail scope w/ crosshair & 3 post reticle in claw mounts. Bbls. retaining 80-85% original blue, thinning at breech ends from normal hand wear as well as around muzzles. Action retains nearly all of its original coin finish and stocks retain over 90% of their original hand rubbed oil finish with a scattering of light marks. Checkering is very lightly worn. All bores are bright and shiny. Action is tight. Scope has 1 or 2 fairly deep marks on ocular bell with some general scratches overall. Optically clear. (22-4892/MGM). MODERN. $2,000-3,000.
