An interesting hardwood cane with L shaped handle. The cane is made of 2 pieces of wood, one light colored andsecond glued together to form a shaft & handle. The 4" ferrule has a gunpowder type firecracker mechanism in itwith spring loaded release, controlled by brass button trigger just below handle on shaft. Nice .5" brass collar.Mechanism still functional. Total length 35.75". An unusual cane.Very slight scratches to original finish, spring in mechanism may be too weak to actually fire gunpowder cap today.(EST 500-700)
