An interesting carved walrus ivory cane with handle being a single piece of ivory in form of a tree trunk with a fullfigure angry dog sitting atop with a bird in its mouth and ruby rhinestone eyes. Rear of tree trunk has high reliefgrapes & leaves. Mounted on a nice tapered rosewood shaft with 1.2" brass & steel ferrule. Total length 35".Minor tight age line near shaft in ivory, eyes may be an old replacement, nice old polished patina.(EST 200-400)
