color:windowtext'> (1861-1948). King of Bulgaria (1908-1918). A German prince, Ferdinand was offered the throne of the Turkish principality of Bulgaria in 1886. In 1908, he declared Bulgaria independent and proclaimed himself king. Ferdinand forged an alliance of Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece, and Montenegro, which fought a successful war against Turkey in 1912. In 1915 Bulgaria entered World War I on the side of the Central Powers. Defeated, Ferdinand abdicated in 1918. Signed postcard photograph, b/w matte, 3½"x5¼" quarter-length portrait. Boldly signed, adding "<i>X 1917</i>." Light silvering; else VG/Fine.</span></p>

1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.
5. The Auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any lot for any
reason.
6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.

to Signature House. Payment must be made in U.S. funds. Wire transfer
details are available upon request. West Virginia residents will pay a
sales tax of 6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA a

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within seven day
providing that it comes back in the same condition. There is a

15. The placing of a bid shall constitute acceptance of the
preceding terms and conditions of sale.
