FERDINAND II AND ISABELLA I
King and Queen of Spain who ruled jointly from 1479 to 1504, they fought and expelled the Moors in 1492, established the Inquisition, and are best remembered for their financing of Columbus' voyage to the Americas. Rare pair of manuscript signed documents ""Yo el Rey"" and ""Yo la Reyna"", each 1p. sm. oblong folio, [n.p., n.d.], untranslated, but with Isabella's document mentioning one ""Pabello de Balboa"", and Ferdinand's bears a drawing of what appears to be a heraldic design. Ferdinand's document bears a chip at lower-right corner with some light marginal wear and a few pin holes, that of Isabella is quite clean and fresh. Two pieces, perfect examples for framing.
