Associated with the revival of public interest in the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. He was later conductor of the Gewandhaus Orchestra in Leipzig. Postal cover boldly signed “<i>F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy</i>” across bottom left margin. Addressed in his holograph to “<i>Julie Schuner</i>” in Leipzig. Postmarked at Berlin, Dec 1 [1827]. Boldly penned. Light general toning; o/w Fine. Handsomely displayed on souvenir postal album page beneath two German commemorative stamps.</span></p>

1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.

6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.
