Inscribed to Roosevelt's friend, Washington Star reporter John Russell Young, whom Roosevelt nicknamed the Senator, ''for J. Russell Young / With the warm regards of his old friend / Franklin D. Roosevelt.'' Engraving measures 11'' x 14'' matted to a an overall size of 15.5'' x 18.5''. Engraving mounted to mat board with glue remnants at edges, and light foxing, otherwise fine.
