FDR 1925 TLS
"WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS BY THE AUCTIONEER ONCE ALL BIDS HAVE BEEN PROCESSED TO DETERMINE THE WINNER FOR EACH LOT."
Franklin D. Roosevelt typed letter signed, dated 20 April 1925 on his personal stationery, four years before he became Governor of New York. Here, FDR accepts an appointment to the New York State Park Commission and mentions current New York Governor Al Smith: ''…start a movement to do away with the Assembly and Senate next year and let Al conduct the Legislative…'' Letter, measuring 7.75'' x 9.5'', has red pencil numbers and markings at top and ''Executive Chamber'' stamp on verso lightly affecting FDR's signature, else near fine.
