Featured in this lot is a button front of The Great Chief Geronimo - Apache from the original photograph by F.A. Rinehart, who was born in 1861 and died in 1928. The button front has a wonderfully and professionally crafted card stock construction. The button front shows a smaller version of a Chief Geronomo photograph that reads on the back of the button front as follows: "Greater America Exposition - From copyrighted photograph by permission of F.A. Rinehart Photographer Manf'd by C.M. Howe 115 S. 16th Omaha." Frank Albert Rinehart was an American photographer who captured Native American personalities and scenes, especially portrait settings of leaders and members of the delegations who attended the 1898 Indian Congress in Omaha. The condition of this button lining shows some wear to the top hand of the button lining and some wear to the photograph of the button front. The measurements of the case of the button front measures 4" x 2 7/8" and the button front measures 2" in diameter.*
