Boxer (1921–1975) who held the World Heavyweight title from 1949 to 1951. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in pink ballpoint “Sincerely, Best wishes to Paster [sic] Gerken from Ezzard Charles.” Matted and framed with an original $8.00 onsite full unused lower reserved seat ticket to the September 27, 1950, fight between Charles and Joe Louis at Yankee Stadium (after this fight Charles became universally recognized as World Heavyweight Champion), to an overall size of 12.25 x 17. In fine condition, with some light skipping to portion of inscription. It was at this 1950 bout that Charles out-pointed his idol and former world heavyweight champion Louis to become the undisputed champion. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
