Royal guard design rare hard to find Persian Ardabil. Size 5.2 x 3.5 feet, made of fine quality lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation, all natural vegetable dye, this is truly a rare and stunning rug. The design pattern is known as 'Naghshe Shamshiry', with stylized sword patterns beautifully placed all over the edges, and a beautifully done design pattern placed in the middle. Framed beautifully by an intricately done border, this rug was hand woven by a master Persian carpet weaver in Ardabil, Iran.
