Extremely Rare and Unusual Special Order Randall Roman Short Sword with Sheath
This rare and unusual special order Randall Roman short sword has Model 2 styling with a giant blade measuring 13 1/8 inches long and 2 inches wide. The ricasso is marked with the standard scimitar flanked two line Orlando address. Brass forward curved hilt and special brass pommel with stacked leather handle. According to the consignor, the owner of Randall, Gary Randall, has told him that this knife was the only one produced in the early 1970s and considers this knife to be a worthy example for the museum. A similar example of the Roman short sword has been featured on the front cover of Legendary Randall Knives Catalog. OAL: 18 3/4". The short sword is complete with a brown leather Randall sheath marked with the Orlando address on front of the belt loop. Consignor states that Randall sheath maker Maurice Johnson of Casselberry, Florida made the sheath. Sheaths for these large type of knives are also rare. Included is a sharpening stone.

Condition: Excellent, with some light spotting on the blade and some scattered minor handling marks on the handle. The brass has a mixed aged patina. The sheath is also excellent with a few minor scratches.
