East India Company Period Postal Cover, 1868, Victoria Queen ½ Anna Stamps (2), Dated 6.09.68 (1868), with Cancellation ‘80’ (Type 9 of Renouf) in singular on two E.I.C. ½ Anna stamps, addressed to Bidasar (Rajasthan).

The envelope bears interesting postmarks viz.

1 - “TRAVELLING POST OFFICE | 6 | SE 10, 68” (Type 101b (1) of Renouf) in Blue ink.

2 - Small circle of diameter of about 10-11mm showing in four horizontal lines a numeral, BLTO in serif letters, date and month as 9/9 and year 68, BLTO probably stands for “BENGAL TRAVELLING OFFICE” (Type 110 of Renouf and 20b of Cooper), it is a rare type and found as a cancellation or a transit mark.

3- Postmarks of JEYPORE|17.9.68 and SOOJANGARH | SE 18.9.68 also applied.

Cover reached its final destination of BIDASAR on 18.9.68, travelling via Bengal, Jaipur and Sujangarh, cover is enclosed with its inner letter, some torn otherwise in good condition, Extremely Rare.
