1936, King George V, Silver ¼ Rupee, Bombay Mint, dot, Privy Mark, tiny diamond-shaped pyramids on reverse, (Unlisted in PR & GK), attractive toning, graded & slabbed by NGC as MS 65, Extremely Rare.
Note: The discovery of privy marks in the form of small diamond-shaped dots between the backside of the King's head and the text 'ERO of Emperor' is a recent find. It is conceivable that these security marks were implemented for the purpose of distinguishing and preventing counterfeiting in circulation.
