All three are marked with the matching serial number, "7039" on the back of the lug. The revolver has the top strap, fluted cylinder and square butt. The left side of the frame below the cylinder is marked "CALIBRE/WINCHESTER 1873" and the serial number is marked on the left side of the front strap under the grip. Excellent. The revolver and extra barrels retain 98% original nickel finish with a few small spots of flaking, heaviest on the 5 1/2 inch barrel, and overall some minor scratches and dings. Much of the original niter blue remains on the screw heads. The grips are also excellent with a few minor dents and handling marks. The markings are clear. The action is fine. An extremely rare one-of-a-kind Merwin Frontier Army revolver with three matching barrels.
