Humayun (AH 937-947 /1530-1540 AD) & (AH 962-963 /1555-1556 AD), Lahore Mint, Silver Shahrukhi (Misqal /Mithqal), AH 962, Obv: Arabic legend The Kalima Shahada within an inner circle, and the four Caliphs' names in the margins, Rev: Arabic legend “Muhammad Humayun Badshah Ghazi" within a square,"al-sultan al-a'zam wa'l khaqan al mukarram"& "zarb Lahore" partly visible at the left margin, 4.72g, 24.49mm, some gash on the edge, about very fine, Extremely Rare.
Note: Dated AH 962 during Humayun's second reign, this coin likely commemorates his entry into Lahore on 2nd Rabi in AH 962 (24th February 1555 AD). The Khutba was read in his name on the same day, indicating a probable issuance of this coin. Less than 10 coins from the same die are estimated to exist in private collections.
