These early Walther P38 pistols are some of the rarest variation of all the military P38 pistols with the "ac" "No-Date being probably the scarcest variation of them all. These were manufactured in early 1940 with a total production of approximately 2,700 they saw years of considerable heavy use on both the Eastern and Western fronts. This variation is marked on the left side of the slide "P.38/ac" with no date marking followed by the serial number (8763). The left side of the frame is marked with the serial number (8763) followed by a single "eagle/359" proof and the left upper front of the trigger guard is marked "ac". The right side of the slide is marked with the German Eagle firing proof flanked by "Eagle/359" proofmarks. The locking block is marked "763" and the sides have a single eagle firing proof and eagle/359 Waffenamt, as well as an additional number "60" on the left side.
