This is a grouping of papers documenting the process for Regierungsbaurat (Construction or building administration official) Friedrich Steiert obtaining a PPK pistol. The following papers are included: 1) letter from Steiert requesting a pistol, dated February 6, 1940, 2) Walther factory letter requesting Steiert to acquire a weapon acquisition paper, dated February 9, 1940, 3) weapon acquisition paper dated February 22, 1940 and signed "Major u. Adjutant", 4) letter from Steiert requesting a PPK pistol, dated February 28, 1940, 5) Walther PPK invoice to Friedrich Steiert, dated March 5, 1940 with carbon copy. Invoice states that the PPK was SN 254984 and along with an extra magazine, Anuschat holster, and 25 rounds had a total cost of 52.40 Reich marks. Also with a 1939 dated, 12-page Walther price catalog (most of the upper left corner has been removed) and pieces of a PPK "wood grain" box. An extremely rare complete piece of documentation. Vendor has never seen another documentation of a purchase. We believe this be the only complete documentation in the purchase of a Walther pistol.
