Bahamani Sultanate, Nizam ud din Ahmad Shah III (AH 866-867/1461-1463 AD), Hadrat Muhammadabad Mint, Gold Tanka, AH 867, Fine Calligraphy, Obv: Arabic legend “al-wathiq billah al-ghani abu’l muzaffar Nizam ud dunya wa’l din”, Rev: Arabic legend “Ahmad Shah bin Humayun Shah (Sic!) al-sultan al-bahmani khuld Allah mulkahu” & Hijri year 867 completely visible at the margin, 11.02g, 19.13mm, (G&G # BH102), test mark on both sides, superb bold strike, centrally struck, very beautiful, almost uncirculated, Extremely Rare.Note: Gold Tankas from the reign of Nizam ud din Ahmad Shah III are rare and have not been featured in our previous auction sales.
