1885 (5 over 6), Victoria Empress, Silver Rupee, Bombay Mint, C2/I/B incused, traces of numeral '6' seen behind last numeral '5', (Unlisted in PR & GK), rainbow-like toning, superb quality with strong features, AU, Extremely Rare.
Note: This rupee holds particular significance due to the use of dies from 1886, which were re-engraved or retouched to produce coins dated 1885. Such a phenomenon is rare, suggesting the utilization of the next year's die for the previous year. This occurrence may be attributed to the difference between the financial year and the calendar year in the British system. The financial year, spanning from 1st April to 31st March, encompasses two calendar years.
