This is an example of an extremely early made Weatherby Crown Grade rifle, built on the Mauser Supreme action, Weatherby's best grade rifle and available on a custom order basis only. The tapered barrel is manufactured without sights and features a pair of gold inlaid bands at the muzzle and a 4 1/2 inch oak leaf engraving at the breech. The oak leaf engraving is accented with silver inlaid acorns and the whole engraving is surrounded by a gold line border. The top rear of the receiver and top of the left receiver wall have an oak leaf engraving with silver acorns which incorporates a gold line border. The sides of the chamber have silver inlaid game scenes and are outlined in gold wire. The game inlay on the left side is a wild boar and the game inlay on the right side is a mountain lion. The trigger guard and floor plate have an oak leaf and acorn engraving with a silver inlaid white tail deer head on the trigger guard and a silver inlaid big horn ram, which are accented with a silver inlaid border. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the barrel and action under the stock. The follower and bolt are jeweled and the trigger is serrated. Equipped with a Weatherby 2 3/4x-10x scope. Left receiver wall marked "Weatherby" and the caliber marking on the left side of the barrel at the breech. The exhibition grade pistol grip stock features hand checkering in a fleur-de-lis pattern with the forearm checkering on the underside incorporating a rosewood inlaid diamond with "LWH" monogram plate. A contrasting inlaid diamond accent is featured on the sides of the stock under the receiver and on the right side of the buttstock. The high comb stock also has rosewood forearm tip and grip cap, sling swivel studs, cheekpiece and vented Weatherby recoil pad.

Condition: Excellent. The rifle retains 97% original blue finish showing some minor thinning with some pin point pitting on the barrel. The stock is excellent with a few barely noticeable handling marks. The scope has clear optics.
