Extra Lusso grade 12ga 3-barrel set fantastically high-art engraved in bear-cat pattern by Galeazzi, serial #5284. The gun shows three sets of matched barrels. Barrel #1 measures 29”, choked “Open” over“Modified” showing a low-profile concave hand-filed rib. Barrel #2 measures 29”, choked “Improved Modified” over “Full” showing a low-profile concave hand-filed rib. Barrel #3 measures 29”, choked “ImprovedModified” over “Full” showing low-profile concave hand-filed rib. All barrels serial numbered to match, gold numbers at breech “1”, “2” and “3” in roman numerals, and are fitted to the same forend. All are factoryengraved “Made Especially for George Neary”. Mr. Neary was a well-known collector and shooter on the west coast for the last nearly 50 years. The locks show high-art engraving and scroll with mythical bear-cats or devildogs. The lever is chiseled and pierced, the frame shows gargoyles, beasts, in fine-cut scrolls. The action is bright finished, the mounts are blued.
