Extensively period engraved Remington Model 1890 Single Action revolver, .44 cal., 5-1/2” barrel, blue finish, period ivory grips, lanyard ring, #1214. This gun is in overall good to very good condition showing a darkuncleaned patina on metal surfaces with some scattered areas of erosion and pitting, very good action, dark bore, beautiful engraving throughout the gun; grips are overall very good with a beautiful patina and fit nicely,definitely period with age checkering at butt and a small old loss at the butt of the right grip at frame pin. The Model 1890 was the successor to the Model 1875 Army and is very desirable to Remington and Old Westcollectors having only been in production from 1891-1896 with approx. 2,000 manufactured; very hard to find anywhere and this one is engraved!
