A) Manufactured by an unidentified London gunsmith. Bead front and notch rear sights, with light border engraving on the muzzle of the Damascus barrel, a crossed scepter proof on the lower left flat, a gold border band at the breech, and gold inlaid leafy vine work on the top flats surrounding "London." The frame, trigger guard and swivel ramrod rib are solid German silver, showing a floral engraving on the bolster, crossed scepter proof on the lower left side of the breech, a fish head pattern on the blue hammer, border designs across the top of the back strap spur, an unmarked inscription banner opposite the lock and fine scroll engraving. The buttplate is solid steel, with blue finish, scroll and border engraving and a hinged patch box lid. Comes in a purple velvet lined hardwood case containing both pistols, an ebony handled cleaning rod, nipple wrench, a single chamber bullet mold, lacquered cap tin, two lidded compartments and a powder flask with onboard ball storage. Very fine. Much of the brown Damascus finish remains on the barrel showing very minor flash pitting around the nipple and a small chip absent form the hammer. The engraving is deep and crisp and the German silver shows minimal wear. The accessories are fine to very fine. The case is very fine, with the lining turning brown and showing mild staining and wear. There is separation of the top panel of the lid and overall some scattered scratches and pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.

B) As "A".

Very fine with a mixed brown and gray color on the barrel, which shows a small amount of pitting, strong Damascus pattern, and a tiny amount of absent gold inlay. The German silver is excellent, with light spotting and handling marks, and the hammer and buttplate show 60% of the original blue, the remainder a brown patina with mild handling marks. Mechanically excellent. An outstanding pair of high quality English percussion saw handle pistols.
