Expertly framed Civil War-style Union guidon with 34 stars, approx. 12” x 22-1/2” with frame size approx. 21” x 32” with plaque stating “Civil War Era, 34 Star Flag, 1861 Kansas”. The flag is in overall fair + to good condition showing scattered spots of thread bare wear and losses. From the famous William D. Langlois collection of Civil War artifacts with many of his pieces pictured in the Civil War Encyclopedia. Langlois was also an undercover police officer who wrote books on LawEnforcement techniques.
