This experimental Model 24 double barrel shotgun comes from the John Olin collection and features 28" solid rib barrels with a single brass bead sight on the solid matte rib, with chokes gauging at full/modified. The chambers are 1 7/8" which has been crudely marked by the factory on the right rear barrel, "1 7/8 Chamber". The only other visible markings are the serial number on the bottom of the frame and a Winchester oval proof on the top left of the receiver art the breech. Double triggers, automatic tang mounted safety, extractors and mounted with a smooth forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate. The Model 24 was manufactured from 1939 to 1957. Formerly from the Peter and Patty Murray Collection. LOP 14 3/8"

Condition: Excellent. The shotgun retains 98% original blue finish with some minor muzzle wear and a few scattered minor dings and scratches. The wood is also excellent with 98% original varnish and a few overall scattered minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
