Produced in the 1970s, as part of an attempt by Colt to break into the world of sporting rifles. Produced without sights, with 5 holes drilled and tapped in the breech area for scope mounting, "SHARPS SPORTING RIFLE / CALIBER 22-250 REM." on the left side and "SHARPS RIFLE COMPANY / HARTFORD CONNECTICUT, U.S.A." on the right. Falling block single shot action, with an adjustable trigger, mounted with a smooth straight grain walnut forearm with sling swivel stud and smooth, nicely figured pistol grip stock with rosewood grip cap with an inset Rampant Colt and solid black Pachmayr recoil pad.
