This was the first slide action shotgun Winchester ever developed exclusively for the .410 bore. This shotgun was manufactured in 1952. Angelo Bee was one of Winchesters outside engravers. His style focuses on hunting scenes with intricate background images. He uses yellow, rose, and white gold along with platinum to give the scenes dimension and really bring them to life. The receiver is beautifully engraved in deep scroll with a punch dot background at the front and rear. In the center of each side of the receiver are game scenes with a gold fox, rabbit and two quail in a field scene on the left side and four gold pheasants in a field scene on the right side. The scenes have a silver background and have gold inlaid wire bordering highlighting the scenes and bordering the receiver. The left side of the receiver is signed "ABEE" with a small bee. The sides of the barrel at the muzzle and breech have a wedge of scroll engraving with a punch dot background. There is a gold inlaid band around the muzzle, gold wire border on the take down ring, gold Winchester proofs, serial numbers and "MOD". The trigger guard has the same scroll pattern with a gold wire border. The stock and forearm are high gloss extra fancy American walnut with Fleur De Lis checkering, a Winchester grip cap and black checkered Winchester buttplate. Red bead front and brass mid sights on the matte vent rib, 3 inch chamber choked modified. Jeweled follower and bolt. Complete with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Angelo Bee and dated June 1, 1964. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches.
