<B>Exciting Comics #1 (Nedor Publications, 1940) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white pages.</B></I> It's been a few years since we'd seen a copy of this first issue, which has the origin and first appearance of the Mask. The cover shows Major Mars, making what we believe to be his only appearance ever! Gerber credits the cover to Max Plaisted. The sharp cover colors belie the 7.0 grade, and this specimen would make almost any Golden Age collector happy. Overstreet 2006 FN 6.0 value = $1,182; VF 8.0 value = $2,561.
