Exceptional Winchester Model 1895 Lever-Action Carbine
This is a near new example of a Winchester Model 1895 Carbine that was manufactured in 1921. The carbine has a blue finish with military style folding leaf rear sight, sling ring on the left side of the receiver and carbine style steel buttplate with sliding trap. The carbine has a military style upper handguard and forearm with grasping grooves. The handguard, forearm and stock are walnut with an oil finish. He top of the receiver is stamped with the Winchester oval "W/P" proof mark and the caliber designation: ".30/ARMY" in two lines. The left side of the receiver is roll-stamped with the two-line legend: "MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. / PATENTED NOV.5.95.NOV.12.95.AUG.17.97.JAN.25.98.AUG.23.98.AUG.6.1907.". The upper receiver tang is roll-stamped: "MODEL 1895 / - WINCHESTER- / TRADE MARK REG US PAT OFF & FGN." in three lines. The serial number, "402001" is stamped on the lower receiver tang. The original bore brush, brass weight and cord are in the butt trap.

Excellent plus. The carbine retains 99% plus of the original blue finish and is in nearly new condition. Finish wear consists of some very minor cycling marks on the left side of the magazine and some minor finish flaking on the right side of the barrel band. The left side of the forearm has a shallow and very minor scuff mark above the grasping groove and the stock has several light storage marks. This is an outstanding example of a late production Winchester Model 1895 lever-action saddle ring carbine.
