Exceptional Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine
Winchester Model 1892 Carbine manufactured in 1927. The carbine has a full blue finish with oiled walnut stock and forearm. The carbine has a round barrel, full length magazine, saddle ring on the left side of the receiver and steel carbine buttplate. The barrel is fitted with a Winchester Express front sight with colored bead on the front sight block and an adjustable folding leaf rear sight. The top of the barrel and receiver are stamped with the Winchester "W/P" proofmark. The left side of the barrel has the two-line marking: "-MODEL 92 - WINCHESTER - 44W.C.F. - / -TRADE MARK-" below the rear sight. The opposite side of the barrel is roll-stamped with the two-line legend: "MADE IN U.S.A.WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO / -NEW HAVEN. CONN. -". The upper receiver tang is roll-stamped: "WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK / MADE IN U.S.A." in three lines. The serial number, "992220" is located on the underside of the receiver. The bottom of the receiver just to the left of the front of the lever is marked with a small "19".

Condition: Near new. The carbine shows almost no handling wear and retains 99% plus of the original blue finish. The receiver has several very minor storage marks and some very light scuff marks adjacent to the saddle ring. Finish loss is limited to some minor flaking on the buttplate. The oil-finished walnut stock and forearm have no handling or storage wear. The bore is in perfect condition. This is an outstanding example of a Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine in near new condition. It would be extremely difficult to ever find a better example of a Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine!
