Winchester Model 1892 Carbine manufactured in 1915. The carbine has a full blue finish with varnished straight grain black walnut stock and forearm. The barrel has a block front sight mounted behind upper barrel band and a dovetail mounted folding leaf rear sight. A staple-mounted saddle ring is located on the left side of the receiver. The left side of the barrel is roll-stamped "MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO./NEW HAVEN, CONN.U.S.A.PATENTED OCTOBER 14. 1884" in two lines between the lower barrel band and the rear sight. ".38 W.C.F." is roll-stamped on the left side of the barrel between the rear sight and the receiver. Winchester oval "WP" proofmarks are stamped on the top of the barrel and the receiver. The upper receiver tang is roll-stamped "MODEL1892/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG.U.S.PAT. OFF & FGN." in three lines. The serial number, "821359" is roll-stamped across the forward edge of the receiver bottom.

Excellent plus. The carbine retains 99% of the original blue finish on the barrel, magazine, barrel bands, receiver, loading gate, bolt, hammer and lever. The left side of the receiver has some very minor wear from contact with the sling ring. The only finish wear is on the blue carbine buttplate which has some finish thinning and some minor pitting on the heel. The stock and forearm are in new condition, all of the original varnish finish remains intact. The barrel and receiver markings are perfect. The screws are free from screwdriver marks. This is an exceptional example of the popular John M. Browning designed Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine that would be extremely difficult to improve upon.
