Webley & Scott No. 5 Express Double Action Revolver manufactured c.1914. The revolver has a high polish blue finish with bright finished ejector rod, loading gate, hammer and trigger. The one piece walnut grip has flat topped checkering. The revolver has a nickel silver half moon front sight, grooved top strap and lanyard loop on the butt. The left side of the frame is roll stamped "WEBLEY'S/NO.5/360 CF" in a half circle above the "Winged Bullet/W&S". The serial number "101800" is roll stamped on the left side of the frame below the cylinder. The rear face of the cylinder is stamped with the caliber, "360" and the partial serial number "800" between chambers. "800" is stamped on the underside of the barrel just ahead of the frame. All of the visible serial numbers match. Birmingham "Crown/BV" and "Crown/BP" proof and inspection marks are stamped in each cylinder flute. The revolver is complete with the original box. The cardboard box has a royal blue fabric cover and orange end label. The end label is stamped "WEBLEY/No. 5 .360.". An instruction sheet for "WEBLEY'S SOLID-FRAME DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVERS." is glued to the inside of the lid. The revolver serial number, "101800" is written in pencil on the inside of the lid. The box contains the original oil cloth wrapping paper and a steel cleaning rod.

Excellent plus. The revolver is nearly new and retains 99% of the high polish blue finish. Wear is limited to some minor handling marks on the butt from contact with the lanyard loop. The grip is excellent plus and exhibits minimal wear. The factory markings and proofmarks are crisp. The action functions perfectly. The box is excellent. Wear is limited to several minor tears in the fabric cover. The orange paper end label is nearly all intact. The interior of the box is excellent. This is an exceptional example of a WWI era Webley & Scott No. 5 Double Action Express Revolver with original box in the same excellent condition as the revolver.
