This is a beautiful example of an all original, unaltered and very rare 1943 dated military contract Krieghoff Luger, that is complete with the original matching magazine, one spare non-matching "fxo" magazine and a late unmarked black Luftwaffe holster with the "Eagle 2" Luftwaffe proof. These Krieghoff lugers have always been a highly sought after pistol based on their very low production rates and the unusually high quality of the fit and finish. The Krieghoff luger were exclusively manufactured for the German Luftwaffe and it is estimated that only a total of 300 Krieghoff lugers were produced in 1943. The serial number range of those lugers starts at approximately 11,300, making this specific luger one of the very first production models. The top of the chamber is correctly dated "1943" and the front toggle which has correct matching numbers on the underside, and has a late production C-2 style Krieghoff toggle marking that has the smaller "C" style radii anchor with the right point touching the bottom of the "K" with the left point just slightly outside of the anchor, as shown on page 83 of the "Krieghoff Parabellum"; in the right column fourth picture down. The left side of the barrel extension has the 1st "Lwa" stage II early proof next to the stage II mid-proof, and then the final acceptance proof. The underside of the bore diameter, over the "LWa2" acceptance proof over the matching barrel serial number of "11365". The breechblock has the correct Luftwaffe acceptance proofs on each side and is correctly numbered "65" on the left side. The side plate, trigger and take down latch all have the correct matching last two digits of the serial number "65". It is fitted with the correct late production Mauser style black bakelite course checkered plastic grips that are unmarked on the backside. As noted, it is complete with an original blued fxo produced magazine that is stamped "122/Eagle 37" on the left side of the magazine body, with the aluminum base correctly stamped on the bottom with the "Eagle/2" Luftwaffe proof over the serial number "11365". The second or spare magazine is also a correct "fxo" style that is stamped on the left side of the magazine body with the "122/eagle 37" proof, with the aluminum base stamped "Eagle/37" over serial number "9561l". It is complete with a exceptionally nice, very late production black Luger leather holster, that has a single Luftwaffe/Krieghoff Eagle 2 proof on the inside.
