Manufactured in Belgium circa 1973, this superposed shotgun features a single steel bead sight, modified/improved cylinder marked chokes, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and ejectors, with a 2 inch wedge of scroll and punch-dot engraving on either side of the chamber and standard markings. Additional leaf scroll engraving is present on the frame, break lever and trigger guard, along with a marsh scene with three gold inlaid ducks in flight on the right, one quail on the underside, and three pheasants in a field scene on the left. Engraved by F. Marechal and signed on the lower rear portion on the right side of the frame "F. MARECHAL" and with gold inlay by H. Germay and signed on the lower rear portion on the left side of the frame "H. GERMAY". Mounted with an extra fancy nicely figured checkered walnut Schnabel forearm and straight grip stock, with a high gloss finish, fancy bordered flats and a factory Browning buttplate. 14 1/4 inch length of pull. With a factory Browning box numbered to another gun. This was a special order gun with a modified frame for greater weight reduction, one of 13 sent to the North American market during the original Superlight production period 1967-1977.
