Exceptional Simson & Co. Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Matching Magazine

This is an excellent early post-WWI Weimar era Luger pistol manufactured by Simson and Co. in Suhl Germany. This is not a Police model as there are no provisions for the sear and side plate safety. This pistol has an undated chamber and the standard Simson & Co./Suhl marked front toggle and the small "Eagle/6" acceptance proof. It has the regular military style serial number placement with the full serial number on the major components and the last two digits on the small parts as well as the "Eagle/6" rework proof. The right side of the barrel extension is marked with three small "Eagle 6" Simson proofs, along with the single Simson & Co. Eagle firing proof. The left side of the barrel is stamped with a small double "Eagle 6" proof sometimes used during reworks along with the final Simson Eagle firing proof. It has the standard safety and extractor markings along with the standard checkered walnut grips. Complete with two magazines, both with aluminum bases. One is correctly marked with "Eagle/6/1857/Eagle 6/S" proofs and the other one is arsenal restamped, "1857/a/+" without proofs.

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% plus original blue finish with some edge and high spot wear. The various small parts retain 80% of the straw color with wear on the edges. The grips are excellent with some minor handling marks and light nicks in the otherwise sharp checkered diamonds. Mechanically excellent. An exceptional Simson P.08 Luger!
