Exceptional Sacramento California Shipped Pre-World War II Colt Single Action Army Revolver in 32 WCF with Factory Letter

This is an excellent example of a pre-war Colt Single Action Army as manufactured in 1925. The top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." and on the rear left side "32 W.C.F." and the left side of the frame has the standard two line, three patent date marking followed by the Colt Rampant. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and on the right side of the front and back strap under the grip. The matching number is also on the inside of each grip panel. The matching assembly number "619" is marked on the right rear of the frame and on the loading gate. The cylinder is unnumbered which is correct for these late pre-war revolvers. The Colt "VP" triangle proof is marked on the upper left front of the trigger guard under the assemblers number "3". Blue with casehardened hammer and frame, blade front and frame notch rear sights, and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top. The accompanying factory letter verifies the 32-20 caliber, 7 1/2 inch barrel, blue finish, rubber grips and that it was shipped as 1 of 2 to Thompson Diggs Company, 3rd and R Streets in Sacramento, California on September 22, 1925.

Excellent. The revolver retains 98% plus of the original blue finish, showing only a slight amount of wear on the left front edge of the muzzle, a very slight cylinder drag line and a small amount of wear on the heel of the back strap. The frame retains 98% of the original bright case colors. The hammer also retains 98% of the original case colors with only some minor normal usage wear. The grips are also excellent with a few minor handling marks and crisp checkering. This is an exceptional 1920s production Single action Army revolver.
