Exceptional Rare Winchester Model 21 Deluxe Skeet Double Barrel Shotgun
Introduced by Winchester in 1931 the Model 21 was one of the companies finest efforts with regard to quality, reliability and strength. The model was introduced as a production line gun and moved to the custom shop in 1960, but it was in fact, a hand-build custom-made shotgun from the beginning. This Deluxe Skeet Grade shotgun was manufactured from 1936 to 1959 and features a red front bead and silver mid bead sights on a concave matte rib barrel with 2-3/4 inch chambers and choked WS1 / WS2 with ejectors. The left barrel is marked "WINCHESTER - 12 GAUGE/ 2 3/4 CHAM." at the action. The water table is marked with the U.S. patent numbers on the left side and model designation and address on the right side. The bottom of the receiver is marked "DELUXE / SKEET". Single selective trigger with push button selector, tang mounted manual safety, and mounted with fancy grain checkered beaver tail forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered bare butt. The shotgun is accompanied by a copy of a Cody Firearms Museum Records Office form verifying the serial number, gauge, barrel length, single trigger, ejectors (selective), manual safety, chokes, pistol grip stock with deluxe finish and checkered butt and pitch, pull, heel and comb drop dimensions. Length of pull is 14"

Excellent plus. The shotgun retains 99% plus bright original finish with a few, barely noticeable, minor scratches on the bottom of the receiver. The wood is excellent with light handling marks overall. Mechanically excellent. A truly exceptional, very scarce Deluxe Skeet variation which is as difficult to obtain as a Grand American.
