Operating in Sheffield during the 1800s, Crookes was a major producer of razors and Bowie knives. 6" clip point blade, with the left side marked "JONATHAN CROOKES" over a proof of a heart next to a pistol with a small indentation to fit the spring loaded retainer on the inside of the grip and a dual bar nickel silver swiveling cross guard. When folded, the guard runs parallel to the grip and the blade extends 3" past the grips. Checkered ivory grips, with an inscribed plate on the right side marked "Andrew/ to/ Bernard/ 1894". With a lightly tooled brown leather sheath, leather sheath cap, and a hardwood case with brass hardware and fitted red felt interior.

Condition: Excellent. Blade is excellent plus, with a few tiny spots and light handling marks. Grips are very good, with a cracks in the right panel. Case is very good, with some exterior wear. Some light scratches on the otherwise excellent sheath.
