Exceptional Pre-War Nazi S/42 Code Mauser "G" Date Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Matching Magazine

This is an excellent example of a pre-WWII S/42 code Luger pistol as manufactured by the Mauser factory for the German Army. This example is called a "G" date as it was manufactured in 1935 and was the second year of German rearmament. The front toggle has the "S/42" code marking for the Mauser factory along with the "Eagle/63" acceptance proofs, next to the single spread-wing Eagle firing proof on the right side of the barrel extension. The right side of the barrel and left side of the breechblock also have the same firing proof. Correctly numbered in the military manner with the full serial number in the major components and the last two digits on the various other parts. It is properly marked "GELADEN" and "GESICHERT" on the side of the extractor and upper safety area, respectively. It has checkered walnut grips that are numbered (7134) in pencil on the back side of each grip. It is fitted with a type one Army magazine with a nickel plated magazine body with an aluminum base that is marked on the base "7134/d".

Stock:
Guage: 9 mm Luger

Excellent with 98% of the blue finish with only minor edge and high spot wear overall. The various small parts retain 90% of their bright original straw colors. The grips are both excellent with nice original checkering, minor handling marks and a few nicks in the tops of the checkered diamonds. Mechanically excellent. As noted this excellent G-date Luger pistol has all matching numbers to include the magazine.
