This is an excellent example of a Nazi G Date P.08 Mauser Luger pistol that was manufactured in 1935. It is complete with two matching magazines and an original brown leather holster. These early Lugers were all manufactured during the early Nazi rearmament with the "G" date indicating 1935 production. The chamber has the single "G" date with the "S/42" Mauser code on the front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension has the early single "eagle/63" droop wing acceptance proof next to a single eagle firing proof. The underside of the barrel has the serial number and bore diameter with a single boxed "W/154" proof on the upper left side with a single Eagle firing proof on the upper right side. It has the correct military style serial number placement with the full serial number (5040c) on the frame and (5040) on the barrel extension and barrel with the last two digits (40) on the various small parts. It is correctly marked "Gesichert" and "Geladen" in the safety area and it has the standard fixed front and rear sight. This Luger is accompanied with two early nickel plated magazines with the aluminum bases that are marked "5040/c/eagle/154" and "5040/c/+/eagle 154" respectively. This early Luger is complete with a brown 1935 dated leather holster stamped on the back "CHEIN CHEN/DRESDEN/EAGLE WaA142/1935".
