Exceptional Mauser G Date S/42 Code Luger Pistol with Matching Magazine
This is a nice example of a 1935 WWII German army "G" date, S/42 code Luger pistol. The top of the chamber area has the single letter "G", the code for the year of manufacture. The toggle link has the correct "S/42" code mark and the right side of the barrel extension has the "eagle/ 63" and droop wing eagle proofs, with the "63" proof repeated on the barrel and the firing proof on the barrel and breechblock. It is properly marked "GELADEN" and "GESICHERT" on the side of the extractor and under the safety lever, respectively. Matching numbered small parts. It has checkered walnut grips, rust blued major parts, straw colored small parts and a nickel plated magazine with aluminum base.
BBL: 3 9/10 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 9 mm
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut
Serial Number: 8218d

Excellent plus, with 98% plus of the original blue finish, showing a few areas of bright edge wear. 90% of the original straw color remains on the small parts, fading along the edges. Grips are excellent, with a few scattered dings. One will look a long time in order to fine a better G-date 1935 production Mauser Luger. This is one of the finest examples we have ever offered for auction!
